Zierkes – Family Session 2019

I just love this family. The Zierke (grown) children all went together and booked a surprise family photo session for their mother for Christmas. Isn’t that the sweetest? She kept insisting that no presents should be opened until after a family photo was captured, and finally they had to grab the envelope and say, “Mom… just this one!” (Melt my photographer’s heart!)

The weather wasn’t balmy enough to take everyone outside, so we opted to do the full group shot indoors and smaller groupings outside. Their backyard woodpile made a fantastic backdrop where we could run outside, take a few shots, duck back inside the house, and repeat! We also caught a few candids in the house at the end of the session.

I really love big families, especially as they all become their own individual units. It’s love and unity and support multiplied over and over again!
